About Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc. Every year, thousands of Maryland workers are disabled due to on-the-job injuries in Maryland. Tragically, about 50 to 100 workers in Maryland lose their lives every year. It’s the families and, in particular, the children who are often forgotten when these losses occur. Kids’ Chance of Maryland provides an opportunity for these children to pursue their education, reach their goals, and fulfill their dreams for the future. All Kids’ Chance scholarships are funded solely through donations.

Established in 1998 as an outgrowth of Maryland’s workers’ compensation community, Kids’ Chance of Maryland is dedicated to assisting the children of Maryland workers who have been catastrophically or fatally injured during the course of their employment. Kids’ Chance is a tax-exempt charitable organization and is active in 27 states across the country.
