5 Displaced In Cockeysville Apartment Fire: Officials
Two people were injured after an apartment blaze near Cockeysville, officials reported.

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — Firefighters battled an apartment blaze off Padonia Road on Monday afternoon that displaced five people, according to officials.

A man was critically injured and a woman had minor injuries as a result of the fire, authorities reported. Both were hospitalized, officials said.

At 2:12 p.m., crews were dispatched to the unit block of Athenry Court for an apartment fire, Baltimore County public safety officials reported.
There was at least one person who was trapped and had to be rescued, authorities said, and the blaze was upgraded to two alarms.

At 2:40 p.m., the fire was placed under control, authorities reported, and the second alarm was canceled.
One person in critical condition was being evaluated by medics, according to officials. At 2:45 p.m., authorities said a second person was being evaluated as well.
Four apartments were affected, and five people were displaced as a result, public safety officials said.
