Greene Turtle, Cafe Spice to Open in Cockeysville

Restaurants will open this spring.

Cockeysville will soon be welcoming two new restaurants into the community this spring.

The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille is set to open its 25th restaurant on April 27 at the Hunt Valley Towne Center, said manager Dameion Jones.

The opening is part of an initiative by Greene Turtle executives to expand throughout the East Coast. In 2009, they announced plans to develop 150 franchises in the region over the next five years.

The Greene Turtle is part restaurant, part sports bar. It features classic American pub fare including wings and sliders.

Also opening this spring at Yorkridge Center North is Cafe Spice, formerly of Towson. Bill Holzman, director of retail leasing for St. Johns Properties, which owns the complex, said a specific date for the opening has yet to be determined.
