Hereford Library "Staff Recommends" Display Proves Successful

Books and other items chosen by are proving to be very popular among patrons.

"Staff Recommends," which is a display made up selections from employees, has to be restocked fairly often, head librarian Sarah Smith said. 

"They're really flying off the shelves," Smith said.

Patrons have checked out 1,929 items designated as "Staff Recommends" from July 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012, according to a monthly report from the library. This includes 248 checked-out items throughout the month of January.

A few months ago, Hereford Library also started a "Customer Recommends" exhibit.

"It's moving well," Smith said.
