Humane Society Honors Fire Crews that Rescued Dog From Reservoir

On Feb. 17, Toby, a 6-year-old golden Labrador, went through the ice after escaping owner Karen Kleinhen. After an unsuccessful attempt to save Toby herself, Kleinhen called 911. Emergency responders from the Lutherville and Texas fire stations rescued the dog.

Kleinhen was unable to attend the award ceremony but passed along a message of gratitude read by Baltimore County Fire Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost.
Tudor expressed pride in the work done by his crew.
