PHOTOS: Padonia International Elementary Celebrates Culture

On Tuesday night, parents, teachers and students gathered at for "Padonia Around the World," one of the most popular events of the year.

"It's become the social highlight of the school year," said Molly Glassman, the school's ESOL teacher who organized the celebration.

The annual event honors the countries of origin of the Padonia Elementary families. This year, Nepal, India, Greece, Brazil and Nigeria were highlighted.

"It changes some every year," Glassman said.

The night featured dance performances, traditional outfits and arts and crafts.

"Every year, [the event] seems to get bigger and bigger," she said.
