Point Breeze Credit Union Appoints New Member to Board of Directors

Jean Lewis, joins the Point Breeze Credit Union board to support, guide growth

HUNT VALLEY, Md. – October 27, 2016 – Point Breeze Credit Union announces the appointment of Jean B. Lewis to its board of directors. Mrs. Lewis has been a member of the credit union for more than 40 years and will support governing functions.

Mrs. Lewis served more than 33 years at Lucent Technologies and retired with the company in Project and Customer Service Management.

“Jean will be a valuable asset to our board of directors and we look forward to her guidance in continuing the growth and success of our credit union,” said Bernie McLaughlin, president and CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union. “As we expand to serve more members throughout Carroll County, Jean’s deep connections in the area will support our commitment to serve the greater community.”

In addition to her role on the credit union’s board, Mrs. Lewis is an active volunteer with several civic and community service organizations including the Carroll County Relations Commission and Board of Elections. For more than a decade, Mrs. Lewis has held the position of president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Carroll County branch. She also serves on the board of directors for the Human Service Program of Carroll County. In 2015, Mrs. Lewis received the Carroll County Human Relations award for civil rights work and initiatives in Carroll County.

She and her husband, John, reside in New Windsor and have six children.
