York Road School Bus Crash Sends 6 to Hospitals: Police

Students, driver were among those injured when Baltimore County school bus crashed Wednesday afternoon.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – Six people were hospitalized after a school bus crashed on York Road Wednesday afternoon, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

A total of 39 people were on the bus at the time of the crash, according to authorities, who responded at 2:36 p.m. to York Road at Bunker Hill Road and found a school bus on its side.

The driver was taken to the Sinai Hospital Trauma Center, and five students were taken to area hospitals, police reported.

Police said it was not immediately known with which school the bus was affiliated. Students who were uninjured were taken to Hereford High School following the crash, according to police.

Officials reported that York Road would be closed in the area of Bunker Hill Road so the crash team could investigate, and the investigation may take several weeks.
