Unified Community Connections names three board members

Carla Jackson, Dr. Clarence Lam and David Wisniewski named to board

Unified Community Connections, a nonprofit agency serving children and adults with disabilities throughout Maryland, named three new board members:

· Carla Jackson is an adjunct instructor of English composition at the Community College of Baltimore County and is pursuing a doctorate in community college leadership at Morgan State University. Previously, she worked as a technical writer. Jackson’s son is a student at Unified Community Connections’ Delrey School, where Jackson serves as president of the school’s Parent/Staff Organization. She graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore with a master’s degree in publications design. Jackson earned her bachelor’s degree from Howard University.

· Dr. Clarence Lam serves on the faculty and as the program director of the preventive medicine residency program at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2014, Lam was elected to serve as a state delegate making him the first Asian American to represent Howard and Baltimore counties and one of four physicians serving in the Maryland General Assembly. Lam earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland, his Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and his bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins, where he served as chief resident.

· David Wisniewski is the first vice president of Wells Fargo Advisors in Baltimore and has over 28 years of experience as a financial professional. Wisniewski first connected with Unified when he joined the Audit and Finance/Investment Committee in November 2013. He also serves on the board of St. Ignatius Loyola Academy, where he chaired a capital campaign, and the Board of Examiners of Professional Ski Instructors of America. He lives in Timonium, Maryland.
