VIDEO: Local Food Trucks Compete in Food Network Contest

The winning truck receives $10,000 and a chance to appear on a Food Network show.

Two Baltimore area trucks are competing for the Food Network title of "America's Favorite Food Truck," a $10,000 cash prize and a chance to appear on "The Great Food Truck Race."

Miss Shirley's food truck, based in Baltimore, is used as a promotional tool for the restaurants, located in Roland Park and the Inner Harbor, said Eddie Dopkin, a managing partner. The truck, which also treks through Towson, is currently ranked 29 out of those competing.

On the other hand, Wild Dog's Gourmet Hot Dogs, which is now ranked 106, is exclusively a mobile operation. Wild Dog's serves Cockeysville, Timonium and White Marsh, and caters local events.
