Niko, a 1-year-old shepherd dog mix, is available for adoption today.
He was left at the shelter by an owner who was no longer able to care for him. Niko isn't neutered.
When I visited him at the shelter, veterinary technician Kim Santorum told me that Niko needed a family that would invest time training him.
