Walgreens Coming to Cockeysville

A Walgreens drugstore will be built at the corner of Warren and York roads in Cockeysville, according to Jessie Bialek, Baltimore County's 3rd District community planner.

Bialek couldn't confirm whether the business would operate in an existing building or if it would be new construction. An opening date has also not been determined.

Currently, the nearest Walgreens location to Cockeysville is at 1801 York Road in Lutherville. The store is approximately seven miles from the .

At a recent l meeting, some members expressed concern that Walgreens would draw customers away from smaller businesses.
