White Hall Man Sentenced for Threatening ATF Agent
Allen Shepperd, 38, was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

A White Hall man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Tuesday for threatening to murder an officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, authorities said.
Following the prison term, Allen Shepperd, 38, will be on three years of supervised release, according to a news release from the Maryland U.S. Attorney's office.

On March 8, 2011, Shepperd said he would shoot the ATF officer in the head when the officer, accompanied by a Baltimore County police detective, went to serve him a state indictment, the release states. Shepperd was for his involvement in burning down a Monkton horse farm in August 2010.
Shepperd also told the officer that he would meet the officer at a restaurant and neither would come out alive, according to the release. Shepperd, who also said he was a good hunter and marksman, repeated his threats in recordings obtained by investigators, according to the release.
