2. 2 arrested in fatal shooting of Adelphi man in Hyattsville (foxbaltimore.com) — Prince George's County police have arrested two men in connection with the Sept. 6 fatal shooting of 33-year-old Brian Vasquez Rodriguez in an unincorporated area of Hyattsville. One suspect is from Hyattsville and the other from D.C.; both face murder charges, and investigators are still seeking information from anyone who may know more about what happened.
3. Hyattsville Arts Festival Returns Saturday With Special Tribute (hyattsvillewire.com) — Hyattsville's 17th annual Arts Festival takes over Gallatin Street this Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., with more than 100 artists, live music, and food trucks along the Route 1 corridor. Organizers will also hold a 1 p.m. tribute to late festival founder and former Hyattsville Community Development Corporation president Stuart Eisenberg.
4. Installation United to Lead PDAA Installer Certification (piworld.com) — A new Installation United training facility in Hyattsville will soon host the Professional Decal Application Alliance's installer certification program, making the city a launch point for a national training network. The center will offer hands-on education for graphics, sign, and wallcovering installers at all career stages, potentially drawing industry professionals and related business activity into the area.
