• Maryland to spray for mosquitoes this weekend (baltimorefishbowl.com) — Laurel neighborhoods around Montgomery Street, Baltimore-Washington Boulevard, Nest Court, and First Baptist Lane will see mosquito-control truck spraying after 9 p.m. Sunday, with a rain date Monday. State agriculture officials will use an EPA-approved permethrin solution and urge residents to stay indoors during spraying and reduce standing water to cut mosquito-borne disease risks.
   

• Fluoride levels restored to water in Montgomery, Prince George's counties (dcnewsnow.com) — If you live in Laurel and get WSSC Water, fluoride levels in your drinking water have been restored to the standard 0.7 milligrams per liter after several months of reduced levels. The change affects 1.9 million customers across Montgomery and Prince George's counties and is meant to support better oral health while officials continue monitoring supply.
