Here are the top four stories in Laurel today:

  1. Health officials in Prince George's County, will run a mobile clinic for two weeks this month offering free COVID-19 vaccines to students ages 12 and up. (WTOP)
  2. A family of four was shot at by another driver while traveling on the Beltway in Prince George's County this weekend. The apparent road rage shooting happened around 3 p.m. Sunday on southbound I-495 near Branch Avenue. Maryland State Police said a man was driving his wife and two daughters in a Mazda sedan when a silver Honda Civic swerved in front of his car. The driver of the Mazda changed lanes and drove up next to the Honda, whose driver then took out a gun and fired three shots. (WTOP)
  3. Maryland native Zuri Foreman began dancing at age 3 after seeing an ad in a newspaper with girl dancers in costumes and cute little shoes. Decades later, she is the owner of The Foreman Arts School in Prince George's County, where she signs up disadvantaged youth for dance lessons. Foreman said she's on a mission to train children in the community, so that they can be represented and showcased on stages everywhere. (WTOP)
  4. Godolphin homebred Pixelate, coming off a victory in last month's Prince George's County over the track, is one of seven graded-stakes winners among 28 horses nominated to the $200,000 Baltimore-Washington International Turf Cup (G3) Saturday, July 24 at historic Pimlico Race Course.
