Our market is rain or shine market and if it rains we will have an overhead tent canopy to keep you out of the elements while you browse and shop, and loads of close parking, yeah!

Thanks for those of you who welcomed our new vendor Pong's Orchard. Al and May Pong farm in the Fulton, MD area and bring miniature fruit trees for sun room and garden along with amazing tasting Asian pears and a few apples.
Farmer Sergio of Crazy Farm will bring more of his fresh beets with beet greens, collards, kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, green and red leaf lettuce, fresh onions, scallions, basil, cilantro, flat and curly parsley, sweet peppers, spicy peppers, summer squashes-- yellow and green zucchini, patty pans, winter squashes-- butternut, acorn, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and believe it... lots more!
Farmers Barry and Michelle of West Brook Orchard have the widest array of apples known to the area 21 varieties actually-- some are honeycrisp, McIntosh, York, Rome, Jonathan, ginger golds, golden delicious, gala, Fuji and more. Not to mention pears, Asian pears, amazing garlic, fresh honey, they canned their own heavenly tasting peaches so we can enjoy over the winter, honey crisp apple butter, apple butter without added sugar, yummy!
Did you know that all pillows by Artisan interior designer, Ruth of Thru the Vine are 100% down filled? These retail for upwards of $120 online, so glad Ruth is reasonably priced!
Puerto Rican Food vendor will be back this week with her traditional empanadas, chicken kebabs, BBQ meats and more... stop by to pick up a quick lunch or to take a treat to the family for a re-heat dinner.
The Briggs Chaney-Greencastle Farmers and Artisans’ Market in northeast Silver Spring, MD is located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904 in the Park-n-Ride Lot. The 2012 market season runs 10am – 2pm on Saturdays– May 5 through November 17, 2012. Stop by the Information Booth if you need to use our ATM for market purchases.
