Carjacking Reported At Laurel Garden Inn

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a carjacking that was reported early Sunday at the Garden Inn in Laurel.

LAUREL, MD — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a carjacking that was reported early Sunday at the Garden Inn in Laurel. The attack was reported shortly before 4 a.m. at the inn, 3400 Rt. 198 in Laurel. A man told police that while he was sitting in the passenger seat of his Hyundai Elantra, a man entered the driver’s side of his vehicle, struck the victim in the head, and pushed him out of the car.

The suspect then drove away in the victim's vehicle.

The victim was treated at the scene for a small cut above his eye and an abrasion to his lower back, but refused further medical attention. Several officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or the stolen vehicle.

The suspect is described as having medium build with a goatee, wearing all dark clothing.
