Here are the top three stories in Laurel today:

  1. Chicago, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, made music history by blaring their signature horns over classic rock 'n roll. This Friday (Oct. 8), Chicago will perform their greatest hits at MGM National Harbor. According to Keith Howland who is the band's guitarist, "It's over two hours of music with a 20-minute intermission, so we're hitting pretty much every nail on the head." (WTOP)
  2. According to an announcement made by Governor Larry Hogan on Oct. 5, Maryland has surpassed the milestone of administering more than 8 million COVID-19 vaccines. To date, Maryland has reported 8,007,738 vaccinations, including 119,899 booster doses. Maryland became one of the first states in the nation to authorize boosters for seniors and high-risk individuals. (Maryland.gov)
  3. According to Jacob Baumgart, Patch reporter, Prince George's County teenagers are featured on a TV show broadcasting roundtables on local issues. The series is called Teens Talk Television, also known as TTTV. A Prince George's County nonprofit launched the show last year. It has already reached thousands of viewers.
