Drug Bust Made at Garden Inn in Laurel
Anne Arundel County Police watching the property chased down an alleged dealer after a drug sale.

Narcotics detectives staking out the Garden Inn on Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel arrested an alleged drug dealer after a chase Thursday.
During their surveillance, Anne Arundel County Police detectives saw a drug transaction. The suspect -- Richard Roland Ray III, 30, of 14700 Fourth St in Laurel -- ran from officers, but was caught after a brief foot chase.
Police say Ray was carrying 20.09 grams of marijuana and 18 .22-caliber bullets, but no firearm was found. More than $400 cash was also seized from Ray.

Ray was charged with drug violations and served on outstanding warrants for FTA traffic, handgun on person and possession of marijuana. Ray is prohibited from possessing ammunition.
