🌱Election Day For Laurel + GoVAX Call Center Helps Marylanders

Here are the top three stories today in Laurel:

  1. Governor Larry Hogan recently provided an update on Maryland's multilingual GoVAX Call Center. It has helped schedule more than 460,000 vaccination appointments and made more than 11 million outreach calls to Marylanders. "Our call center — one of the first of its kind in the country — has played a critical role in Maryland's leading vaccination rates," said Hogan. Established in February 2021, the GoVAX Call Center exists to help residents schedule appointments simply by calling 1-855-MD-GOVAX. (Maryland.gov)
  2. A man died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in Prince George's County. Police said the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Md. Route 210/Indian Head Highway and Fort Washington Road/East Swann Creek Road. (WTOP)
