Here are the top three stories in Laurel today:

  1. Howard County General Hospital will offer free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots to residents of Howard County, ages 5 and older at clinics next week and into December. Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services will host one of the clinics. Children ages 5 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Registration is required for all appointments.   2. Our country is still recovering from the pandemic. Many families don't know where their next meal will come from. During the holidays, several groups are offering Thanksgiving groceries, including turkey, for those in need. If you are in need this Thanksgiving, read this list detailing where to get free groceries and turkey in the D.C. area. (WJLA)
  3. Governor Larry Hogan recently announced that Maryland has expanded eligibility for COVID-19 boosters to include all adults. This expansion will help further the state's public health goal of maintaining immunity against severe COVID-19. According to Gov. Hogan, as of Nov. 19, Maryland has administered more than 800,000 booster shots. Hogan encourages all Marylanders to get a booster shot and maintain their immunity. (Maryland.gov)

  • Holly Days Bazaar — The sweet smell of cookies, the red and green decorations, the homemade crafts, the ringing bells of St. Nick, raffles and a silent auction all await at the annual Holly Days Bazaar.
