Man Arrested For Murder Of Retired FBI Agent: Laurel Police
Jason Allen Bryd, 42, was arrested for the murder of retired FBI Special Agent Scott Horn of Laurel.

LAUREL, MD — A Westminister man was arrested for the murder of retired FBI Special Agent Scott Horn, detectives with the Laurel Police Department said.
Jason Allen Bryd, 42, is charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and the use of a handgun in a crime of violence. Another suspect, Anne Reed Allen, 62, was arrested on June 30, police said.
On the night of March 16, police received a 911 call for an unresponsive male at a residence in the area of the 200 block of Patuxent Rd., Laurel, police said. Officers arrived and located the 62-year-old Horn deceased in the yard of the home. Horn, who was a retired Special Agent with the FBI, was found with major trauma to his upper body, police said.

Detectives ultimately identified Horn's estranged wife, Anne Reed Allen, and Jason Alan Byrd as the suspects in Horns’ murder, police said. Both Byrd and Allen are currently being held at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
