Man Reports Robbery By Juvenile, Woman: Police

A man reported being robbed in Laurel Nov. 3, police say. The suspects were apprehended by police.

LAUREL, MD — A man reported being robbed at gunpoint by two people in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road Nov. 3 at approximately 2 p.m. The robbers demanded the man turn over personal items, but the victim didn't and took off running.

Officers who responded to the incident found the two suspects at a nearby business. One had a replica handgun BB gun, according to a police report. Police arrested 21-year-old Aletha Sherese Catchings of Laurel and charged her with armed robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault, dangerous weapon-conceal, use of a firearm during a violent crime or a felony, reckless endangerment, making a false statement to an officer and theft less than $100.
