Murray Hill Middle School Holds Benefit Concert

Students donate change to support Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center

Murray Hill Middle School used its Spring Orchestra Concert to raise awareness about homelessness in Howard County and to collect change for Grassroots, Howard County’s 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. Concert attendees brought change to the concert, and proceeds from the sale of refreshments also was contributed to Grassroots. A total of $432 was raised to benefit programs and services at Grassroots. Performers included (from l.)seventh grader Doreen Maleta and sixth graders Kelsey Bradford and Katie Hagedorn.
