A police department in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C., is paying a group of Black and Latino police officers $2.3 million to settle a workplace discrimination lawsuit that alleged white officers used racist slurs, circulated text messages expressing a desire to "reinstitute lynching" and put a black face and Afro wig on a training dummy. 2. Prince George's County Public Schools is facing a bus driver shortage just weeks before the school year starts. Rudy Saunders, director of transportation for the county's schools, said the school system needs to hire at least 200 drivers. (WTOP)
