Police Issue Silver Alert for Missing Laurel Woman

After a Laurel woman left home Monday morning without identification or money and did not return, police issued a silver alert, asking the public for help finding her.

Michelle Monroe Glenn, 50, left her residence in the 9500 block of Kings Grant Road in Laurel at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, police said.

Her family said that not returning is unusual behavior and could signify the return of an existing health issue, according to a report from police.

“Although her age does not fit the typical guidelines for a silver alert, police are issuing one in this instance due to these health concerns,” the report stated.

A silver alert is usually issued when an individual who is older than 60 has disappeared and the person has some sort of cognitive or other impairment, according to Maryland State Police guidelines.

Glenn is described as a black woman who is 5’7” tall, 160 pounds with short straight black hair and medium complexion.

She was driving a tan 2000 Toyota Sienna with Maryland tag M339316, according to police.
