Police Search for Sexual Assault Suspect

A man who asked a woman for directions reportedly pulled a weapon and sexually assaulted her outside a Laurel drug store, police say.

The attack happened about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a woman was sitting in her car outside of a drugstore in the 12000 block of Laurel Bowie Road.

Prince George’s County Police say the victim prepared to give the man directions as he had asked, he threatened her with a weapon and inappropriately touched her.

The suspect then drove away in what police believe is a burgundy four-door sedan; he was headed in the direction of Muirkirk Road.

Police have released security camera images of the suspect.
