Here are the top four stories in Laurel today:

1. Prince George's County pastors, retired school system teachers and principals, community leaders and members of the business community came together at a Monday afternoon rally demanding that the school board resolve its differences for the sake of the children who are set to return to school in the fall. 2. Prince George's County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks has asked the state's top school officials to "immediately" review ethics allegations that have roiled the county Board of Education. A spokesperson said Tuesday that the Maryland State Board of Education had not yet received an appeal of the ethics report. (WTOP)
3. The new Bowie Fairwood Medical Center, set to open Aug. 16, will offer next-generation technology to over 10,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Prince George's County. The outpatient facility will provide primary care, behavioral health, allergy, radiology, lab and pharmacy services. (WTOP)
4. UniverSoul Circus dazzles Plateau Parking at National Harbor now through Labor Day. This event includes contortionists from Guinea; skaters from Cuba; daredevil motorcyclists from California, Colorado and Chile; a high-wire act from Colombia and Gabon; teeterboard drillers from Mongolia; a solo trapeze artist from Brazil.
