Son Charged in Double Homicide: Howard County Police

Police allege a 30-year-old man killed his parents in the home where they all lived in the Laurel area.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two people were found dead in their home near Savage Thursday night, and their son has been charged with murder, police said Friday morning.

Craig Dennis White, 30, of the 9500 block of Queen's Guard Court, was charged with first- and second-degree murder and assault.

Police allege Craig White killed his mother and father — Linda White, 61, and Glen White, 66. His parents were found inside the home where they all lived together near Laurel, according to police.

Officials responded to the home at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, after the residents did not show up for a meeting where they were expected, police said.

Glen White was pronounced deceased and appeared to have been stabbed; he was found in the bedroom with a stab wound, officials reported.

Linda White was found dead downstairs in the basement with apparent blunt force trauma, according to officials.

Through investigation, authorities said they identified Craig White as the suspect, and he was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Columbia. Police said he was being processed Friday morning.
