  1. TEDCO, Maryland's economic engine for technology companies, recently launched a new program called the Urban Business Innovation Initiative (UBII). It's designed to provide technical and business assistance to underserved startups in key urban areas within Maryland. Through its partners' resources and funding, this program provides valuable connections to entrepreneurs, guidance in developing technologies for commercialization, and general business assistance for continuous growth.   2. A crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway caused major delays Wednesday morning. The accident happened along the northbound lanes of the roadway near MD 197. According to police, the victim was a pedestrian, only described as a 26-year-old woman. (FOX 5 DC)
  3. On Wednesday, Governor Larry Hogan announced a new partnership between the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration's (MDOT MVA) Highway Safety Office and the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) that provides 1,000 Uber ride credits worth $10 each to Marylanders for a sober ride home. To redeem the $10 credit, Marylanders can open the Uber app, choose "wallet" from the menu and scroll to the "promo codes" section. Marylanders can use the code "MAKEAPLAN2021" and $10 will be applied to their account. (Maryland.gov)
