1. Six Flags America in Prince George’s County is requiring masks at all indoor locations. All guests over the age of 5, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask indoors — including at Hurricane Harbor. (WTOP)
2. Efforts to restore the Anacostia Watershed in Prince George’s County just received a big boost. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Prince George’s County Department of the Environment have signed an agreement that gets restoration work moving. (WTOP)
3. The Washington Football Team recently announced updated policies and protocols at FedEx Field for the 2021 season, which include a ban on headdresses and a recommendation for fans to wear face coverings. The team said in a news release that fans are encouraged to wear Washington’s Burgundy and Gold colors, but themes tied to the franchise’s previous nickname, such as ceremonial headdresses or face paint, will no longer be permitted in the stadium. 4. Housing Initiative Partnership has been helping renters in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties apply for rental assistance. Mary Hunter, director of the housing counseling program with the nonprofit, said that the applications are taking a long time to process. However, things are changing as the programs begin to hit their stride. Hunter said that more approvals are happening and rent is being paid to the landlords. (WTOP)

- Laurel Hybrid Science in the Summer Camp — Science in the Summer will run August 9 to August 13. It's open to 2nd to 6th graders. The focus is “Be An Engineer”.
