BALTIMORE, MD – September 19, 2014 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake and presenting sponsor Under Armour are proud to announce the seventh annual “Biggest Little Tailgate Party” on Saturday, October 11th from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Aimed at increasing awareness and raising much-needed funds for youth mentoring in Maryland, the seventh annual “Biggest Little Tailgate Party” embraces a college homecoming throwback theme, complete with a youth football clinic, cheer clinic, chili and BBQ cook-off, expanded Kids’ Zone and more. Come watch several of Baltimore’s top companies go head-to-head in the second annual Big Little Bowl flag football tournament on the field, and feel the spirit of a college tailgate!
The Biggest Little Tailgate Party is one of the most unique charitable events in the Baltimore area. Your ticket purchase helps Big Brothers Big Sisters raise critical resources, recruit new volunteers, and allows the agency to build safe and enduring relationships for children and youth in Maryland. Statistics from national research organization Public/Private Ventures found that children who spent 18 months in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program were 52% less likely to skip school, 27% less like to begin using alcohol and 46% less likely to begin using an illegal drug than other youth in similar communities.
