Consumers Can Learn About Insurance Options at Local Events

The Maryland Insurance Administration will offer a variety of consumer materials for insurance products, including annuities, title insurance, health, auto and homeowners insurance, at events in Montgomery County throughout August.

“A key aspect of the Maryland Insurance Administration’s mission involves educating the citizens of our state about the choices available to them as consumers of insurance products,” said Therese M. Goldsmith, Maryland Insurance Commissioner, according to a news release. “The more informed consumers are, the better equipped they are to make purchasing decisions that are right for them.”

Trained personnel will be available to answer any questions during the events:

- August 6 (1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Re-entry Services Education Fair, 1651 Nebel Street, Rockville.

- August 8 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at the Home & Lifestyle Expo, Lakeforest Mall, 701 Russell Avenue, Gaithersburg.

- August 13 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the Wheaton Neighborhood Recreation Center, 11711 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton.

- August 13 (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Poolesville Baptist Church, 17550 West Willard Road, Poolesville.

- August 16 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the White Oak Farmers’ Market at White Oaks Middle School, 12201 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring.

- August 19 (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) at the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Re-entry Services Education Fair, 1651 Nebel Street, Rockville.

- August 20 (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at the Shady Grove Farmers’ Market at Johns Hopkins University Rockville Campus, 9601 Broschart Road, Rockville.

- August 23 (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at the Montgomery County Public Schools Back-to-School Fair at Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville.

- August 25 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at the Long Branch Senior Center, 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring.

- August 30 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the Fenton Street Farmers’ Market at Veterans Plaza, Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive, Silver Spring.
