Denny's Robbed at Gunpoint
Detectives are looking for two suspects; $1,000 reward offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Two men, one of them brandishing a handgun, robbed the Denny’s in the Montgomery Village Center early this morning—the fifth time in two months that a Montgomery Village business has been robbed at gunpoint in the overnight hours.
At 3:30 a.m., the suspects entered the , demanded money from the cashier and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Montgomery County Police.
No one was hurt and no shots were fired. The restaurant has a surveillance system, and investigators are checking if footage from this morning will be usable, police said.

This morning’s robbery was the second incident in as many days in Montgomery Village involving a gun: —a few hundred yards away from the Denny’s—left a Gaithersburg man in critical condition.
Police have not said whether this morning’s robbery is connected to the shooting or to . Those four robberies involved a sawed-off shotgun and two suspects believed to be working together.

"Detectives are examining whether this is related to any other incidents," said Officer Howard Hersh, a police spokesman.
All five robberies have struck Montgomery Village’s only 24-hour businesses: 7-Eleven, CVS pharmacy and now Denny’s.
After being robbed on Nov. 17 and Nov. 30, CVS hired private security detail to man the front door overnight. The 6th District station has also stepped up its patrols in Montgomery Village.
"There is an additional police presence because of those incidents," Hersh said.
Detectives are looking for two suspects in the Denny's robbery:
- A black male approximately 20 years old, 160 pounds and 5’10” tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing.
- A black male approximately 20 years old, 200 pounds and 6’0” tall. He was wearing a black jacket and dark clothing. He "did disguise his face in another manner,” Hersh said.
