ICYMI: Homeless 2 Hopeful Fashion Show Fundraiser Set
All proceeds will be used to help end homelessness in Montgomery County.

A count taken in January found a total of 891 homeless men, women and children in Montgomery County.
Twenty models will walk down the runway at the Silver Spring Civic Center on Sunday, Oct. 26, in an effort to raise awareness about homelessness in Montgomery County.
Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, a nonprofit dedicated to providing solutions to end homelessness, has partnered with members of the Hispanic community, Montgomery Council President Craig Rice and Council members Nancy Navarro and George Levanthal to present the Homeless 2 Hopeful Fashion Show.

“We are excited to expand our network of community partners to include the Hispanic community to help us reach our goal of ending homelessness in Montgomery County,” said MCCH Executive Director Susie Sinclair-Smith in a news release.
All proceeds from the show will benefit MCCH programs that directly address homelessness -- specialized makeovers, job search assistance, supportive services and affordable housing for homeless and formerly homeless.

The show will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Silver Spring Civic Center, 1 Veterans Place. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
