"In Good Faith" is not MVF/SVHC Standard Operating Procedure

To MD who has blog on "Withering in the Village" & all those non-residents picking up MV Flourishing catalogs now circulated around the area you need to be aware of just how dysfunctional my HOA is.  Just received a Notice of Violation, 7/9/2014, regarding an issue that HOA was previously and voluntarily informed of directly from my lips to their ears & that I was in process of repairing (waiting on friend's assistance to cut 2X4 for bottom of front fence that I was quite aware needed repair).  I should not have received any darn violation from them (w/even a threat if I didn't comply by 8/4 I would be billed ADMIN fees or "reported to Department of Housing and Community Affairs") from 'work that was quite obviously in progress'.  Email immediately sent to them upon receipt of this improper citing for violation to what seems always necessary...to everybody and his brother @ MVF and SVHC.  Excerpt: I will reiterate my message left on your voicemail @ exactly 1:29 PM today stating that the day volunteer inspector was along this corridor (woman with foreign accent may have been German) I was the one who voluntarily pointed out an area that is actually not even visible to 'anyone'; not even your inspector till I made honest note that repair of wood was in progress.  Rotten boards at bottom of fence only noticeable to the rodents we can't get rid of in this community because of HOA's inability to resolve 24/7 trash dumping on HOA's very own property (that affects the value of MY home). Wood, pointed out to 'volunteer' from SVHC, was literally laying on ground up against fence when I emphatically informed her I was waiting for friend to cut to correct size."   Another email sent to Powers That Be 6/9 right after I witnessed inspecting corridor of my neighborhood.  And even with Stranger Danger, they stand in front of homes as though 'casing the place and take photos'.  Not presenting credentials is just wrong.  In the Village News they (MVF) have displayed photos of inspectors in matching attire and big credential badges hanging on 'uniforms'.  Photo is bogus 'cause they have never appear in my community as such in -- years!!!!:

Subject: Inspections of community...at long last! Alleluia!

"Just to let you know.... Saw MVF/SVHC walking around inspecting and confirmed that is exactly who they were.  I inquired as to why she was standing in front of my home (particularly since nothing has been 'added' to my home since the targeting that occurred November 2012).  I volunteered pointing out area she didn't even notice (the bottom of my fence literally out of anyone's sight, hidden by shrubs) where boards have been cut and are ready for replacement installation and painting).  Waiting for friend to complete. She would not have even noticed had I not pointed out.  So, don't infuriate me by sending me another citation to get under my claw as was the last 'episode' with suspicious 'focusing' on my always maintained home.  I keep a handle on maintenance and have for -- years and to get a 'violation' (and noted in my files) for something that is already in progress would add more fuel to the fire as far as I'm concerned.   I have known quite well things that need to be meticulously cared for at home (inside and out) and not done for YOU but done because I choose to live no other way...in a residence that is clean, highly maintained and pleasing to MY eyes!!!!!!  I am not and never have been a procrastinator as I see MVF and SVHC when it comes to 'finally' performing the inspections that have been nil for literally decades!"  This citation was sent to a woman, homeowner, who has not only meticulously maintained my residence but has basically (out of frustration from HOA's absence for decades in 'getting a handle on this community') but who has basically over the years performed their inspections, provided them issues and even photographs.  One couldn't have made their lives easier...those who are getting paid while I am not.  I've only been mandated to pay them assessment fees to live in what has become a squalor from their lack of presence and lax attitude when it comes to residents performing even the most BASIC MAINTENANCE.  I should have been and should be 'on payroll' of my HOA for 'my time' 'cause they sure have demonstrated no appreciation for at least being assured there is one (and maybe a small handful) of folks in this neighborhood who 'give a damn' about their homes!!!!!
