#NeverForget Montgomery County Commemorates 9/11

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The memory of a jet crashing into the Pentagon, two planes striking the World Trade Center, and the passengers who fought back on the doomed flight that ended in Pennsylvania are ingrained into the nation’s memory. And even though the event of Sept. 11, 2001 is now being taught in elementary and middle schools as a piece of history, there are still many who remember the chaos and tragedy of that day.

Communities are gathering across the country to commemorate the event and honor those who lost their lives as well as those who risked their lives to save others.
