Nude MV Man Arrested in Ocean City

A Montgomery Village man was arrested this week in Ocean City after he allegedly chased someone while naked on the beach and assaulted a police officer.

Brendan Patrick Ohare, 35, of the 9500 block of Horizon Run Road, was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday after Ocean City Police responded to a report of a nude male on the beach at 140th Street and Wight Street. When officers found Ohare, he was "flailing his arms, yelling and chasing" someone along the oceanfront, according to a statement.

Ohare resisted arrest and assaulted an officer, according to police, then was taken to a medical center for precautionary treatment of possible substance abuse. The officer was not injured, according to police.

Ohare is charged with second-degree assault, indecent exposure, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace, according to online court records. He was released on personal recognizance. A preliminary hearing is set for July 20 in Worcester County District Court.
