UPDATE: Montgomery Village Man Found

Daniel Leon Stith had gone missing on Oct. 12

UPDATE 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1: Daniel Leon Stith, a 49-year-old Montgomery Village man who went missing three weeks ago, has been found.

Investigators did not provide any information on when, where or how he was found.

"They were only able to advise that he was located unharmed,” said Angela Cruz, a Montgomery County Police spokeswoman.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Montgomery County Police are asking the public for help in finding a Montgomery Village man missing for more than a week.

Daniel Leon Stith, 49, of the 10000 block of Stedwick Road, was last seen by family members on Oct. 12. He is described as a black male, 5’ 08” tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds. He has short, black hair and brown eyes. Police say he may be driving his blue 2002 Ford Explorer with Maryland tags, 2AL9497.

Family contacted police on Oct. 18 because he doesn't usually go so long without being in touch. Detectives have no indication that foul play is involved.
