7-Eleven Robbed with Shotgun, Four Other Robberies the Last Two Weeks

The following combines the two most recent crime summaries for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.
A sex assault was reported in the 800 block of Trotters Ridge Lane in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Oct. 6. While inside an adult female’s apartment, a maintenance man touched the resident inappropriately. The investigation is ongoing.
A street robbery occurred in the 8400 block of Emory Grove Road outside Gaithersburg at around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. Two male juvenile victims said they were jumped by four black males dressed in all black clothing. Property was taken.

A street robbery occurred on Emory Grove Road near Goshen Road outside Montgomery Village at around 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10. The adult female victim had exited her car to check her tires when two suspects appeared. One pushed her up against the vehicle and held her while the second stole her purse from the car. Both suspects are described as males 25 to 30 years old and 5’ 7” tall.
A residential apartment burglary occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle in the Cider Mill Apartments between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The resident left the sliding glass door open and returned to find property missing. A 1997 Honda Accord belonging to the victim was also taken from the parking lot. The vehicle was later recovered on site.

A street robbery occurred in the 19600 block of Montgomery Village Ave. at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The adult female victim was walking when a car drove alongside with a suspect exiting the back seat and demanding her property. No weapon was seen. The suspect took her property and fled. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, 5’ 5” to 5’ 7” tall, with long black hair. The vehicle is described as a gray four-door.
An armed robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in the Montgomery Village Center at around 11:45 pm. on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The lone suspect entered the store brandishing a shotgun and demanded cash from the register. The employees complied. The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, wearing a dark blue pea coat and sunglasses.
A street robbery occurred on Copps Hill Drive near Tunstall Drive in South Village at around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. The adult male victim was approached by several suspects, one of whom struck him in the back of head and tackled him to the ground. The victim’s property was stolen. The group was located nearby on Contour Road and the main aggressor in the incident was positively identified and arrested.
