Redskins Linebacker, Family Struck by Alleged Drunk Driver

"A drunk driver hit us and almost wiped us out," Keenan Robinson tweeted after a car crash in Prince George's County.

Washington Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson tweeted early Friday morning that he and his family were struck by a drunk driver in Prince George’s County.


Following a 45-14 loss to the New York Giants Thursday night, Keenan Robinson and his family were on their way home from FedEx Field, CBS DC reports.

The accident involving Keenan Robinson’s Chevy Suburban and a Chevy Tahoe happened around 12:50 a.m. Friday near the Arena Drive exit on the inner loop of the Beltway in Prince George’s County, the news outlet reports.

Leon David Robinson III of Silver Spring was the driver of the Tahoe, according to NBC Washington.

Leon Robinson failed a sobriety test on scene, refused a breath test at the barracks and has been charged with driving under the influence.

No one was injured in the accident.
