Roundup of SHARK WEEK's Kickoff in Silver Spring

Discovery Channel’s 27th annual SHARK WEEK kicked off in downtown Silver Spring Friday complete with photo ops with Chompie Jr., giveaways -- fin hats, glow necklaces, SHARK WEEK squirt toys, live music and an advanced screening of “Air Jaws: Fins of Fury.”

SHARK WEEK officially started Sunday with the first official screening of “Air Jaws: Fins of Fury,” followed by “Shark of Darkness: Wrath of Submarine,” “Shark After Dark Live” and “After Shark After Dark Live.”
