Veterans Day 2014 Closings, Ceremonies In County

Silver Spring residents can take in the free Tribute to America’s Veterans Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 11, to celebrate Veterans Day.

The concert is being held at the Silver Spring Civic Building at 6 p.m. It will showcase music and dance of the Vietnam era, says Downtown Silver Spring.

There is no cost to attend, but if you plan to go you must RSVP to reserve space at rsvp@silverspringtowncenter.com.

Bethesda Ceremony

Montgomery County officials will celebrate Veterans Day at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, with a ceremony at Veterans Park at Woodmont Triangle in Bethesda.

The Kiwanis Club of Bethesda will host its 55th annual Veterans Day Observance. Rep. Chris Van Hollen will be among the elected officials and local leaders to pay tribute to veterans, reports BethesdaNow.
