Westfield Montgomery Mall Celebrates Tax-Free Shopping Week

Back-to-school season has started, and to celebrate, Westfield Montgomery Mall has special contests and giveaways throughout the month of August for shoppers.

In addition to Maryland’s Tax-Free Shopping Week, which runs Aug. 10-16, Westfield Montgomery is also offering shoppers the chance to win a $100 gift card every day during August, talk to a personal stylist and join in the anti-bullying cause.

Westfield is hosting the #BeYourBestSelfie Instagram contest throughout August. The goal is to empower youths to be their best this back-to-school season and take a stand against bullying.

To participate, shoppers can write how they plan to be their “best” this coming school year on a blackboard in the mall, then take a selfie picture in front of the board and post the photo on Instagram with the hashtag #BeYourBestSelfie. One winner will be selected each day to win a $100 mall gift card.

The mall is also giving shoppers the chance to have a free one-on-one styling session with personal stylists, including D.C. Fashion Blogger Lacey Faeh from ALaceyPerspective.com. On Sunday, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 6 p.m., the mall will have a Pop-Up Style Suite in the center court complete with a live DJ and back-to-school fashion trends on display.

The first 100 shoppers to stop by the style suite on both days will walk away with a free swag bag. One lucky winner will nab the grand prize backpack stuffed with over $500 in merchandise.

Back-to-school fashion trends will be displayed throughout the mall during the month of August.
