What's Open, Closed in MoCo on Labor Day

The unofficial end of summer is fast approaching.

Here’s what’s open and closed in Montgomery County on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1:

• All Montgomery County offices will be closed
• Libraries are closed
• County liquor stores will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Outdoor aquatic facilities will be open from noon to 6 p.m.
• Olney Indoor Swim Center, 16605 Georgia Ave., Olney, will operate normal hours
• All other indoor aquatic facilities will be closed
• Administrative offices, senior centers and community centers are closed
• The Ride On, Metrobus and Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule
• TRiPS Commuter Stores (Silver Spring and Friendship Heights) are closed
• Refuse/recycling pickup will be provided one day later for the remainder of the week. The last collection day is Saturday.
• The Transfer Station is closed.
• Parking at public garages, lots and curbside meters will be free
• Montgomery County Public Schools’ administrative offices will be closed
• State offices and courts are closed

Here’s what open and closed in Montgomery County Parks:

• Black Hill Boats at Black Hill Regional Park will remain open from 6:30 a.m to 6 p.m.
• Black Hill Visitor Center at Black Hill Regional Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Brookside Gardens Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Cabin John Train at Cabin John Regional Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Lake Needwood Boats at Rock Creek Regional Park will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Little Bennett Campground at Little Bennett Regional Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Olney Skate Park at Olney Manor Recreational Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• South Germantown Driving Range at South Germantown Recreational Park will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• South Germantown Splash Playground and Mini Golf at South Germantown Recreational Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Wheaton Train & Carousel at Wheaton Regional Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Wheaton Tennis at Wheaton Regional Park wil be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Cabin John Ice Rink at Cabin John Regional Park is closed
• Wheaton Ice Arena at Wheaton Regional Park is closed
• Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at CAbin John Regional Park is closed
• Locust Grove Nature Center at Cabin John Regional Park is closed
• Meadowside Nature Center at Rock Creek Regional Park is closed
• Brookside Nature Center at Wheaton Regional Park is closed

In Rockville:

• Recycling and refuse will be collected one day later through Saturday, Sept. 6
• Rockville City Hall will be closed
• The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open. Indoor pools are open from noon to 8 p.m. The rest of the facility will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
• F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office is closed
• Croydon Creek Nature Center is closed
• Rockville Civic Center Park offices is closed, including Glenview Mansion and the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery
• Lincoln Park, Twinbrook and Thomas Farm community centers are closed
• Rockville Senior Center is closed
