Clarksburg beat Watkins Mill 5-3 on April 17, then bested Quince Orchard 5-4 three days later. Both squads fell to Walter Johnson — the Wolverines 10-7 and the Cougars 7-4 — and both beat up on Magruder — 16-2 and 20-0, respectively.
