Woman Sexually Assaulted After Getting Off Bus: Police
Police are searching for a man they say raped a woman in Montgomery Village Saturday night.
MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — Police are investigating after a woman reported that a man followed her from a bus stop Saturday night and raped her.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the 19300 block of Watkins Mill Rd. in Montgomery Village around 10:15 p.m. Shortly after the victim got off a Ride On bus, she noticed a man following her and began to run.
Montgomery County Police say the unknown male suspect chased the woman and knocked her down. He then dragged her to a grassy area by the woods and raped her.

The woman managed to escape and return home, police said. She then went to a local hospital, where authorities were notified of the incident.
Little is known about the male suspect at this time.
