800Razors Partners with The Ulman Cancer Fund

800Razors to provide fundraising incentives for the organization's 3rd Annual Beard Off

Baltimore, Md. –  800Razors, a fast-growing provider of American-made razors, blades, shave cream, moisturizers and shaving accessories, today announced it has partnered with The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, supporting the nonprofit’s 3rd Annual Beard Off Challenge.

The Beard Off Challenge encourages all Bearders to raise funds, but most importantly awareness for The Ulman Cancer Fund, a nonprofit committed to creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. 800Razors will provide a number of shaving prizes and incentives for Bearders over roughly three months of competition that began November 7, 2015.

“We are excited to partner with The Ulman Cancer Fund and help them to raise awareness for a disease that is a leading killer among 20-to-39-year olds,” said Phil Masiello, Founder of 800Razors. “We felt that the Beard Off would be the perfect opportunity for us to get involved with the organization, since participants are looking for clean shaves after they meet their personal fundraising goals.”

In partnership with The Ulman Cancer Fund, 800Razors will offer Ultimate Shave packages to winners at Beard Off Challenge events, including the Beats, Beards & Brunch Party on November 29, 2015 at Mad River Baltimore. Ultimate Shave kits include razor cartridges, a matching handle, a 5oz. tube of Ultimate Shave shaving cream and a 5 oz. tube of Ultimate Shave moisturizing cream.

800Razors is also donating nearly 400 3-blade razors and 5-blade razors as gifts for Beard Off Challenge participants. Because these are older generation razors, they are no longer sold on 800Razors.com – but will now be of good use for a great cause.

“We are thrilled to have 800Razors.com as a partner and supporter of the 3rd Annual Beard Off Challenge,” said Brock Yetso, President & CEO of The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. “More than 70,000 young adults in the US are diagnosed with cancer every year and to have the support of a local, American-made company like 800Razors.com allows us to make an even greater impact in the lives of so many in the cancer fight.”

The Beard Off Challenge began as a bet among a group of friends who wanted to see who could grow the best beard. It grew gloriously and in just three years has “fund-razed” over $40,000 for The Ulman Cancer Fund. This year, the Beard Off Challenge is aiming to raise $70,000, representative of the 70,000 Young Adults who are diagnosed with cancer each year.
