Baltimore City Public Schools Make Weather Decision

Schools in Baltimore City will open later than usual Monday morning.

Baltimore City Public Schools announced Sunday night that there would be a two-hour delay on Monday, Jan. 12, due to weather.

The Baltimore metropolitan area was under a freezing rain advisory Monday morning, and roads had the potential to be icy.

Federal government offices in the D.C. area are opening two hours late on Monday and employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

Liberal leave is in effect for state of Maryland employees starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, until the end of the day shift. Essential emergency personnel should report to work on time.
